My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. I so very much understand. My mom died from cancer, breast to lungs. She died on June 8, 2010. What I thought was strength the first week, became numbness, and now as the weeks go on, left with the daunting task of mourning, while sorting my parents affairs and belongings, and still trying to be a wife, a mother to 4 young adults, a grandmother to be, and keep working to pay the bills.....the bouts of crying and sadness, and missing my mom are getting more frequent. I do know that there are no "shoulds" about mourning and grief. Thank you for being there. Knowing another heart is pushing forward, well it helps to know just that.
