About Me:
I am an author, Anglican priest, and educator.
About my Loss:
As well as having experienced death in my own life, I sought, early in my training as a priest, to confront physical ‘death and dying by working on the Oncology ward of a major teaching hospital.

What Readers have said about this book:

This was one of the best books I have read in a long time. Not what I was expecting, and I could not put it down. This book is a collection of short stories about people's experiences with death and dying, and I loved everyone of them. Very heartfelt and tender, I felt like I was getting little glimpses into others lives and witnessing painful moments, joyous moments, and deeply personal moments. This book changed how I feel about death and the beyond. My favorite line was "life is a short episode between two great mysteries, which yet are one and the same." I highly recommend this book, your heart will be happy after you read it.

“Beautiful! Having worked in hospice for many years I think this book is a lovely collection of short, heartfelt stories that capture exactly what the author is trying convey. The book is very personal and unclose. I highly recommend it!”

What a pleasure to read these pearls of wisdom by Father Jim Talentino.
"I think that all of life is a dream, and when we die, we wake up! " declares the author's four year old son in one short chapter. How wonderful to have thoughts like these captured and generously shared with us all. The book relates vignettes of spiritual conversations the author has had with disparate individuals over the course of his lifetime. Each thought or conversation is illuminating in some way. BEGENDINGS is also a loving tribute from that son, now an adult, to his father, who 'woke up' many years ago. Surely, Father Talentino is pleased, from his new vantage point, to see his writings brought to life. I know I am. I hope many people read this book and benefit from its wisdom.

It is only free from Sunday October 12th till Thursday October 16th. Please help me by going to Amazon and downloading the book absolutely free during these 5 days.

If you enjoy the book, please leave a quick Review on the Amazon site.

Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. If someone messages me and I don't respond right away, my mind starts thinking, "What if something happens to them before I reply?…See More
