About Me:
Seventy years old. Married once to my soulmate of 55 years. Recently widowed. Retired civil servant since 2014, Having a hard time dealing with loss of husband. First met him 58 years ago. Fell in love 55 years ago. Married over 51 years, Recently began volunteering at local art museum. Started writing poetry about my husband, our relationship, my grief, etc., after his death...still a work in progress...
About my Loss:
Lost my husband and soulmate 4 months ago, in May of 2017. We were together for 55 yrs, married over 51 yrs. Still in shock. Pain and sense of loss is relentless, Tried grief counseling, not really helpful...too pat, too formulaic for me. Thinking, talking, writing about him helps...
