Profile Information

About Me:
I am a mother to a beautiful baby girl and married to a wonderful husband. For the last three years, I have been a first grade teacher but am switching to second grade this fall.
About my Loss:
On May 24th this year, I lost my mother and best friend to cancer. She was so incredibly strong and fought the disease for nearly two years. Upon completion of her second round of chemo treatments, she found out that the cancer spread to her lungs and liver. Despite her terrible pains, she wanted to keep fighting. However, her kidneys shut down two months later and she lost her fight.
After seeing my mom in the last few weeks of her life suffer in agony, I wanted her to be in a better place. I am feeling so selfish now for wanting her back. Today is two months since the tremendous loss. We lived 5 hours away, but spoke at least a couple times a day. I miss our laughs and our talks about nothing at all. I miss everything about her.
