- IM 37 YEARS OLD, I CURRENTLY AM RESIDING BACK IN ATLANTA. I MOVED FROM HERE IN 2006 AND MOVED TO TAMPA WHERE MY DAD LIVED AND ONLY BEEN BACK IN ATLANTA SINCE JULY 2014. I LOVE TO TRAVEL, IM A PEOPLE PERSON, I LOVE MY FAMILY BEYOND THE SKIES AND MOST OF ALL IAM AND WILL FOREVER BE A DADDYS GIRL. MY HEART HURTS SO MUCH THAT HES NO LONGER HERE ON THIS SIDE WITH ME.

- MY DAD JUST PASSED JAN. 3 2015 @ 12:45AM. MY BESTFRIEND AND MY HERO IS NOW GONE. HE WAS ONLY 62 YEARS OLD. HE WAS ONE OF THE STRONGEST, CARING, FUNNIEST MEN YOU COULD EVER MEET. HE DIED FROM CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE. IN THE END HE SUFFERED AND WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. IM IN SO MUCH PAIN, I MISS HIM SO MUCH..

My Fathers Loss

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Hi JAI, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom July 22, 2014. She had COPD pretty bad for about 2 1/2 years. I am not ashamed to say, I am a mama's boy. A only child. I talked over everything in with her. It's been just awful now that's she is gone. I also lost my dear wife. From cancer 2-9-2013. We were together for 15 years. No children. She was my soul mate. My mom and her were sick both at the same time. It has been the most difficult time in my life. I am so lost with out them now. I am so sorry about your Dad. I certainly know what it is like to have crying spells. Sending you my best thoughts and prayers today. Just take it day by day for now.
