About Me:
At the age of 63.I lost my dad on 1/19/13.Ive been his total care giver for the last 3 years. My dad was 89 years old when he passed.I am told that since my dad lived a long life and died in his sleep,no heart attact,no stroke,I should be happy he lived a full life, partly because of my 24/7 care giving,I shouldn,t feel so bad.But i guess I may not be normal.I miss him so much, the pain at,times is unbearable.Because we lived together & I started each day getting him dressed, showered, and made his meals.Every morning,I wakeup and am starting to get my dad ready for the day,it then i remember he,s gone & from then my day gets worse.
About my Loss:
Mixed up about me & my loss.I am as i said 63 and until a month and a half ago was mydads total care giver 24/7/365 so for the last 3 years my life was dedicated to my dad.My days were sometimes hard and full and now,i wake up and try to figure out how i am going to get thru the day.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
