- About my Loss:
- I was 9 when I lost my mum to breast cancer. I hadn't had contact with my dad since the age of 3 as he was an alcoholic. My brother and I spent our whole lives for five years at the hospital with her. He is now 19 but was 14 at the time she died. We have different fathers and chose to live with our mums friend who became our legal guardian. We never speak about her and he has moved away. It was always just us three together, now it's just me and nobody has seen what I did. I was okay for a few years because I was still young with plenty of distractions. Last year I went of the rails, I started drinking and doing other stupid things trying to fill the ugly emptiness inside of me. I moved in with my dad after not knowing him for long and well, he was a complete dick and exsessive drinker. I've recently moved back in with my guardian and started seeing a therapist. I really just need someone to relate to and that when they say "I understand how you feel." They really actually understand!
