About Me:
It's funny, I've always described myself first as a wife and mother. I am no longer a wife. TV is my favorite activity because I can escape for a short time and don't have to think. I'm almost 48, I honestly don't know what to write about myself because I identified myself with my family so much. We were a package.
About my Loss:
My husband Todd, died September 2, 2016 of a result from a massive stroke, he was only 52. He had what the call "locked in syndrome". His blood clot, rested in his brain stem. His brain was "beautiful" the doctor said. All but the part that tells the body to move. It was as though he was a quadriplegic and could only communicate with his eyes. Blinking once for no and twice for yes. Other than that he was great. Todd got to make the decision on his own blinking twice, to be taken off life support. He made the hard decision so I didn't have to. I could have been selfish and put him in a nursing facility and gone to see him every day. But, I knew he would hate living like that. We were together 20 years. People talk about that in 20 years time. I'm sure I'm going on too much. I'm sorry.

My heart goes out to you. Losing a husband is unimaginable. I too lost my dear husband Neil, who was also 52. It's been almost 8 months. I understand how you feel. Every day is hard. Neil was the love of my life. Even tho I have family and friends around me I am so lonely without him, my life partner, my best friend. I ache for my kids losing their wonderful dad.
