Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. I am so sorry to see that you have lost your mother. I know what you mean that your mom is your best friend.... my mom is my best friend too. It is terrible to see mom get older and see her feel that death looms over her head. It seems to loom over her head and makes her very sad. Amy death is terrible and we are never "never ready" for it. It is always terrible! It is good to talk about your loss so I am happy for you that you found this website. Everyone here has experienced grief and is happy to talk with you. That includes me. Anytime you need to talk.
