Gregg,  your partner didn't know how much you would hurt and it probably is a good thing because it would have made his own journey to the door harder.  I know, my husband died of cancer and none of our lovers want us to hurt.  I don't know what a friendship circle is although I can guess being Native American it is something helpful.  I would encourage you to find a friend to talk to.  I have a friend I talk to every day and it does help to be able to create a connection that will go throughout the next year or two with you listening.  May your partners spirit send you his love by way of another channel.  Be blessed……morgan

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More

Movies about grief that actually understand loss — any recommendations?

Hi everyone  I’m new here and honestly never thought I’d need a space like this, but here I am. I’ve been living with grief for a while now, and some days it’s quiet, some days it hits out of nowhere.Lately I’ve been watching movies about loss and grief - not to make myself sad on purpose, but to feel understood. Sometimes seeing grief on screen helps when it’s hard to explain what’s going on inside. The problem is that many “grief movie lists” online feel very surface-level or overly dramatic,…See More
