About my Loss:
On august 22, 2011 my daughter Nicole passed away just 16 days after she gave birth to her first and only daughter. Nicole was only 24 years old. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Ewings Sarcoma in October 2009. The mass in the lining of her left lung was the size of a cantaloupe. THe cancer was so aggressive that they had to start chemo immediately. Before chemo a fertility specialist came into her room and told her and her husband that there would be no time to freeze her eggs, they had to start treatment right away, and that her chances of ever conceiving a child were very slim, if at all.. after extensive chemo, radiation, and finally surgery to remove what was left of the mass, she didn't care what the Dr.s said, she tried to get pregnant, and she DID!! We all thought the worst was over, that she had beat the odds,she had beat cancer, she had her miracle baby, then 16 days after Annalise was born, Nicole was gone. We still have no definitive answer as to why. Her husband refused an autopsy. The medical examiner was only able to tell us that the mass did return, and his best GUESS was that a blood clot from the mass went to her heart. It's been a year, and 3 days short of a year. I miss her terribly. My sadness, my grief, it doesn't ease with time as I have heard it does. It gets worse. I miss her more as the days go by... I have 2 other children and I love them so much there are no words, but I still want Nicole back.. I feel so empty inside..I feel..... alone.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
