About Me:
I guess, I can answer questions better than just talking about myself. If you want to know anything just ask me.
About my Loss:
I lost my mother when I was 17. I still remember it like it was yesterday. My mom went out with her friend and it was me and my sister. It was about 10 PM when she got home, I was in the kitchen baking a cake and my sister was watching T.V. My mom came home and went to her bedroom to change. Immediately after she went into the bathroom and started to vomit. I was just mad, I said to my sister "that's what she gets for doing what she did"... I was so mad at her. She went to take shower after she vomited. She went in her room and just kept saying how hot she was. She layed in front of the fan for a while. Then as I was putting the cake away she ran back into the bathroom. I went to the door and said "Ma, are you okay?" I was fairly confident that she said yes and so I decided to go to bed. At about 11:37 my sister came and woke me up and said " I think there is something wrong with mom". So I went into the room and turned on the light. My mom was making crazy noises. I said "mom wake up, wake up!" That didn't work so I smacked her in the face. That didn't work either. I told my sister to call my grandmother who lived right downstairs. When my grandmother came up she tried to wake my mother as well. I called 911 and just as I did ny mother turned red, then a shade of purple I have never seen before. I was telling them, "She's not breathing, my mother is not breathing. I need help, hurry up, PLEASE!" They told me to do CPR, as a corpral in JROTC, I knew how to do and I knew that if you did it right ribs got broken. Knowing that I tried to do the CPR and avoid breaking any ribs. My grandmother yelled for my sister to go get my grandfather. Meanwhile, the operator told us to get my mother to the floor, my mother was a big woman and it was hard, but we got her down when my grandfather got up to the house he and my grandmother started the CPR... The whole time I never let my sister go, she was only 15 years old. When the ambulance came it felt like forever. They shocked her and gave her a lot of medicine to try to get her heart going... Her pulse was faint. They brought her downstairs and my grandmother, grandfather, me and my sister all followed after. On the way to the car I asked the parametic to please save my mother and he said " I can't promise you anything." We got to the hospital and just sat in a waiting room for, what felt like, forever. In that time my Aunt Jessy, my Aunt Jacqui, my Uncle Steve, my cousin Amanda and my Auntie Jessy's friend Mary all came to the hospital. a little bit later, the doctor came in, He sat down and he said "When she got here there was barely a pulse. I am sorry, she didn't make it..." In that moment everyone just burst out into tears... I just kept yelling "no,no,no" over and over again... My mother died at 1:13 AM on August 23, 2006 at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. Stioll to this day it haunts me. I can remember every detail down to the t. I always wish I can go back knowing what I know now and save her. I know that is not possible.
