Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide
If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Just wanted to say hi :) I too lost my mom to cancer this year, on Jan 22. She was only 55 and she is and always will be my best friend. I am only 32 and have 2 small children and just found out I am pregnant with my 3rd. She was able to hold my hand through the birth of my first two children, but after I had my son (who will be 2 on Thursday) she found out a month later that she had stage 4 lung cancer despite never smoking a day in her life and being extremely healthy up until that point. A day doesn't go by that I don't think of her every minute
