About Me:
Im a 35 year old divorced mother of my 13 year old daughter. She was my brother's little girl. My ex husband and I adopted her legally through the court when she was just 2 years old. She now resides with my ex husband due to my prior drug addiction to heroin. Im proud to say that Im in a Methadone maintenance program and now have several months clean. Im still dealing with the pain of my loss which was a huge factor contributing to my addiction. But now i actually wake up each day and have hope. I have hope that my pain may start to lessen a little each day if i start dealing with and coping with these issues. So this is what brought me here. Im here in hopes of continuing to heal in my process as well as extend my support group of people who are there to listen and to talk to. People who honestly care and will not judge me based on my past mistakes and shortcomings. Im ready to start reaching out my hand for help, and im ready to start taking the necessary steps needed to begin living a happy, meaningful and productive life. And I just pray that maybe my story and my own strength and experience may help another person who is also struggling and dealing with this painful type of loss too. Take care of yourselves and God bless each one of you along your own personal journey!
About my Loss:
I lost my brother, my only sibling, to suicide on November 3, 2004. He was my best friend! Now Im trying to learn how to live some type of a happy life without him here. But honestly, some days i really wonder if that can ever be possible.

Grandma sewing room
