About my Loss:
Lost my brother to overdose on Sept 11 2016. He was 43 years old. He's been struggling with alcohol and drugs since he was in high school. He struggled with bi-polar disorder. Right now I am very angry at the situation. He was 5 months sober. I have a note on my calendar to send him a card for his 6 month sobriety anniversary. He relapsed and couldn't live with himself anymore. I'm angry at what could have been. I'm angry that he had a choice and he chose death. I'm angry because he felt like he couldn't turn to anyone. That he was a disappointment. But we were all proud of him and it would have been ok if he messed up and wanted to try again. I can't believe he's dead.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
