- My daughter, Hannah 31, was camping with her brother, Logan, daughter, Madison 6, boyfriend Tony 31, and Logan's gal,Lee.Took a drive down river to safer swimming hole. Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide
If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Deborah, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your daughter. There is nothing like losing a child. Logan must be dealing with a lot, although it was an accident, I suspect he's feeling responsible somehow. Madison has a long road ahead of her to figure out how to be a little girl without a mom. Prayers for all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. My son was also killed instantly in a car accident. The sudden loss is almost unbearable. I am glad you have your daughter and granddaughter.
