Profile Information

About Me:
I graduated with a BS in Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University in 2011. I now work as a full time Field Engineer in the commercial construction industry. In my free time, I like to play hockey, watch football, and read about cars.
About my Loss:
I lost my father unexpectedly due to a heart attack on April 26th, 2012. He was a hard working man who never showed any signs of weakness. My life has not been the same since. Living with my mom, brother, and nieces, we quickly came across hardships with the absence of my father. It is difficult to deal with the loss especially with the many other stressful factors life sheds on you. I find difficulty at times dealing with stress and emotions at the same time. Nobody could have ever prepared for a situation like this and I still wonder some days how to continue with the missing element of my father who held the family together.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
