Profile Information

About Me:
I am a 49 year old father of five. Our oldest is 30, married, an Air Force veteran and the mommy of our grand-baby. We have two daughters and a son (21, 20, 19) all in college. And finally our 16yr old son at home.
About my Loss:
My wife had a 2 1/2 year battle against adrenal cancer. She had major surgery, radiation, and two runs of chemo. She was tough. She should have died shortly after diagnosis (it was spread that far). She pushed and pushed for that first life saving surgery.

I was by her side the whole time. It seems like I lived out of a suit case going from hospital to hospital. In the end they gave her two weeks to a month, but she fought on for the last eight months. I was her 24/7 full caregiver during the last eight months. We had her in a hospital bed in the living room and I slept on a twin mattress on the floor.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
