About Me:
I am a 58 year old husband and father. My wife Grace and I were married May 28 1988. We had 3 children. 22 year old daugther, 19 year old son. We lost our youngest son 2 years ago on May 27th 2009. he was only 14 years old. Iam a mechanical designer currently working for a company that designs and builds naval equipment.My wife and I also are musicians. We have a duo we both sing and I accompany us on guitar.I am the youngest of 4 boys born in the northern U.P. of Michigan. Both parents are deceased. I am a recovering alcoholic sober since 1978.
About my Loss:
Our son died as a result of an allergic reaction to an anti-seizure medication in the emergency room at a local hospital.He had autism and suffered from a seizure disorder. He was airlifted to Milwaukee Children's Hospital unfortunately he already had irreversible brain damage. He was kept on life support for 3 days and was then declared dead. He became an organ donor. his organs eyes and skin went to various recipients around Wisconsin. His heart went to a lady in Pittsburgh, PA. The only recipient we have come to know is his heart recipient. We have become good friends with her and her family.We have established a local family support fund in his memory to help families who have children or adults with special needs. We have held 3 benefits so far to raise money for the fund. Our son in spite of his disability was a loving and affectionate kid. He had a great sense of humor and had a great love of music. We miss him so much.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
