- About Me:
- I am 45, dating again. I enjoy crafting, movies - Netflix or movie theaters, and spending time with friends and family. I have always worked in non-profit, helping others is my calling.
- About my Loss:
- I lost my husband, Paul, Sept 15, 2015. He meant so much to me, he was my life. He was a mentor and best friend. I feel so fortunate to have been part of his life, he was 58 when he died. He was 15 years my senior, so i always knew he would leave before me, but I did not know it would be so soon, I thought he would live into his eighties, like his parents. I was not ready to lose him. I still had fight left in me. He was suffering in the end, in his mind his body had already lost the battle. For his sake and to end his suffering - i was happy for him when he passed, but for me - it was devastating. I have never hurt so much as i did when i lost Paul. I have moved forward b/c i am a survivor and i know how to live. But it has been and continues to be a journey. I know one day we will be rejoined, and that brings me happiness and comfort. Until then i live b/c he cannot and he lived his life with passion and purpose. He continues to be my mentor, his memory lives in me. Our live is over, but i must continue to live for him.
