About Me:
I am 45, dating again. I enjoy crafting, movies - Netflix or movie theaters, and spending time with friends and family. I have always worked in non-profit, helping others is my calling.
About my Loss:
I lost my husband, Paul, Sept 15, 2015. He meant so much to me, he was my life. He was a mentor and best friend. I feel so fortunate to have been part of his life, he was 58 when he died. He was 15 years my senior, so i always knew he would leave before me, but I did not know it would be so soon, I thought he would live into his eighties, like his parents. I was not ready to lose him. I still had fight left in me. He was suffering in the end, in his mind his body had already lost the battle. For his sake and to end his suffering - i was happy for him when he passed, but for me - it was devastating. I have never hurt so much as i did when i lost Paul. I have moved forward b/c i am a survivor and i know how to live. But it has been and continues to be a journey. I know one day we will be rejoined, and that brings me happiness and comfort. Until then i live b/c he cannot and he lived his life with passion and purpose. He continues to be my mentor, his memory lives in me. Our live is over, but i must continue to live for him.

Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep.
