About my Loss:
My brother was murdered in his home in 2007. I met and knew both of the guys that did it. They were people he knew. Unfortunately there is not enough evidence to file charges against them so they have until this point gotten away with murder. The police don't care and haven't returned a phone call in years. Makes it hard knowing who they are and where they are and just having to let it go. A lot easier said then done. It is almost impossible without giving up and giving in more of yourself then most people can understand. Almost like telling yourself that your family means nothing to you and that you are not a man. The detectives actually told me that if we were anywhere else in the world they would have been brought to justice, but here in Los Angeles after the OJ trial prosecutors won't even try unless they were guaranteed to win. So 7 years later they are waiting for a confession or witness that will probably never come so they don't have to lose a case and hurt their conviction record rather than try. Its very said that is the way it is but my family, especially my children, remind me everyday why trusting in God and Karma is more important. Without them as a single man things would be different and I would be the one in jail happy to be there knowing that I did what was needed to be done because they deserved it. Letting go is hard enough, but giving in to those that do not deserve it and letting them get away with it is nearly impossible to do without changing the fundamentals of who you are as a person. No where else in the world would this be allowed but somehow I have to play nice because the police are a bunch of idiots. They are such assholes that after he died, most of the evidence they took from his home they stole. From his home they took a long list of items. After his death I became the executor of his estate. It took more than a year to get the LAPD to agree to return his belongings. When they did, almost all of the items of value were missing. Their excuse was that after a year items are ordered to be disposed of yet when asked they did not have receipts or records of where the items went. How's that for a slap in the face. The comment from one of the investigating detectives was after a year property is fair game in the property room and the officers take what they want which is the reason no one can document where it went. That's my story. One that I could have never imagined I would have to deal with and still sometimes second guess myself if it is really true.

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
