About Me:
Im 37 years old, widowed since I was 33. I an a licensed practical nurse and a 911 dispatcher for the county I live in. I have a 21-year-old son, 3 Dachshunds, a Great Dane and a wonderful boyfriend who has 2 amazing daughters. I live in southern Illinois. I enjoy knitting, yard work and spending time with family and friends. What I enjoy most, though, is helping others.
About my Loss:
My late husband passed away October 3, 2010 after a 2 1/2 year battle with colon cancer. We had no children together, but he was like a dad to my son. After more than 4 years of being without him, I still miss him every day.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
