Profile Information

About Me:
I am a 54 yr old female who is on the verge of a total breakdown. I always thought I was a very independent person who could take care of herself. I have an Associate Degree in Accounting. I worked for 35 yrs for one employer, 3 yrs for another, 4 yrs for another and I currently own my own business. I have been married to the same wonderful man since I was 17. We have had a great life with 1 son God blessed us with. We are Christians. My husband is a deacon and SS teacher. God has blessed us tremendously.
About my Loss:
My husband has stage four lung cancer that has spread to his stomach and possibly the other lung. My once strong dependable husband and soul mate has been diminished to a 90 yr old man. He trembles from all the meds. Yet he still hurts. His skin hangs on his body and is so wrinkled. His eyes are sunk back into his sockets. He can barely shuffle along to walk. He can no longer hear unless you yell at him. The chemo is the worst part. It takes at least a week for him to begin to eat and drink. He throws up has diaharea and is not always able to make it to the potty in time. I am his main caregiver and this is breaking my heart and my spirit.

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
