- About my Loss:
- Over the past 10 years I've lost two grandparents, a young cousin, a brother, two uncles, a great-grandparent, and a couple of great-aunts, but those were expected losses. Cancer and old age, all of them. The loss that really affects me, is the recent loss of my cousin Cheryl. She and I were very close, and I knew that she'd had a problem with drugs and alcohol, but she'd been to rehab, and I thought she was okay. One day she announced she was five weeks pregnant. Just a few hours later I got a text from her husband that Cheryl had died. There's no official cause of death yet, but recent information has shown that it was an overdose.
