About Me:
Have been grieving since June 2008 after losing my only brother unexpectedly. May 2009 my Mom was diagnosed with stg4 uterine & endometrial cancer. Lost her January 31, 2012. Within months my boyfriend became ill and was ultimately diagnosed with stg4 colon cancer - lost his battle November 2013. I also had a miscarriage in September 2010 (my only pregnancy-didn't think I could get pregnant- i tried but it never happened. Feel like I lost my miracle)
About my Loss:
I'm rather traumatized from what I saw & experienced and still can't get past these tremendous heart-wrenching losses in my life.
My brother died from a heart defect from birth. Thank God we were together the day before at his daughter's HS graduation and son's JR high graduation. His actual passing was peaceful, but it sucks that we didn't get to say goodbye.
For my Mom & boyfriend, I was caretaker while working, for both of them but was able to take care of them in their final months/weeks once home on hospice and was with them both when they took their last breath. I was lucky enough to be able to be with my boyfriend 24 hrs a day (which was required in his case) because I "resigned" from my job of 15+ yrs in September 2013.
My Mother was my best friend, my rock, my encouragement and my inspiration. She was the only person I could talk to without holding back & she never judged me. True Unconditional Love!
Losing my boyfriend was especially hard as we had only reconnected 4+ yrs earlier. He was my first real love (and will be my last). We dated off & on in high school but took different directions in life in our early 20's. At least "I got the joy of rediscovering you" (Journey - Faithfully) and we had a few really good years together before he became ill.

My Fathers Loss
