Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?
Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. Hi Cheryl, Im very sorry you are a member of the widows club that none of us want to join. My husband passed away July 2011. I understand the loneliness very well. One of the reasons I started to work again after 15 months off was to have face to face contact with others more often. Keeping busy is the answer for me at this point. Maybe you could find a part time job, or volunteer to have the same contact with others. Take gentle care of yourself. Hugs.
Do you have any friends that you can go out with or any senior centers? My mom lost my dad 3 1/2 years ago and still misses him every day. I feel your pain and the deep sadness. You are not alone in how you feel.
