About Me:
I am 18, living with my father in NYC. Finishing up high school and headed towards college. Love to sing, paint, draw, write...anything creative or artistic is up my alley! Have been in individual therapy for over five years - In my recovery from self-harm and suicidal behaviors, have been safe for over a year now.
About my Loss:
My beautiful, beloved Mother passed away December 31, 2013. Mommy had a vast medical history; breast-cancer, gastric bypass surgery and many others. Early 2013, pre-cancerous cells were found in her colon. She had half of her colon surgically removed, recovered slowly though, was stronger than ever. She had intense pains in September, unable to pass gas and very uncomfortable. In December, Mommy went to the hospital as she was in cold-sweats and dizzy. She was semi-sedated when entering surgery that morning. The doctors had to break the 'blockage' which was causing my Mother so much pain. Apparently, she was smiling and giggling...not nervous at all. Something went wrong, she aspirated and died, 8AM New Year's Eve. I miss her so very much! I am having trouble finding support groups...or anyone who can validate the loss of a parent. Mom and I had a complicated relationship though as I wrote in my eulogy, "There was not one instant where I stopped loving my mother."

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
