About Me:
I'm a retired teacher, and teacher trainer in technology.
About my Loss:
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August. Had surgery August 23 and then went through high dose radiation treatments. The next decision was about going through chemo. Husband and I discussed it and my Mom and I had talked about it some. I was going to go see her on September 25th then decided to wait another day. Got a call later that morning that they could get her to the door. My Uncle and Aunt went around to the backyard and then went in the house and found her on the floor. I was on the phone with my Aunt and told she's diabetic to check and make sure she wasn't just unconscious. She was gone and I got hysterical on the phone and my crazy cat attacked me and scratched me and big me. She didn't know how to deal with my hysteria and grief either. We were going to go eat and go shopping. There wasn't any warning. She gout and had a hard time getting around and had diabetes. She was 81. My Dad died in 2010 and he was 81. I don't know how to be without her.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
