About Me:
I am a 48-year-old mother of two who lives in Houston, Texas. Divorced and currently not working. Left my job to care for myself and my youngest daughter Madison. My oldest daughter Skyler is 19, a college student and lives at home with me.
About my Loss:
On August 12, 2018, I lost my youngest daughter Madison, she was only 12 years old. Earlier this summer she was diagnosed with an extremely rare autoimmune disorder called Dermatomyositis. End of July she got her first treatment, by the end of the week my healthy girl was in the CVICU fighting for her life. We believe the autoimmune disease or treatment caused the damage to her heart which she could not overcome. She was fully functioning intellectually her poor body just was too damaged and we had to make the heart-wrenching decision to let our baby go.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
