About my Loss:
I lost my Sister and Niece 5 years ago on Feb. 4th 2010 to Domestic violence.they were both shot to death in their home. My Sister was 30 and My niece was 15. My Daughter was 9 and witnessed the entire thing, My nephews, 11 and 2 were also in the home, my daughter was playing with my Niece when it happened.I had only left her there 2 hours prior and went to work. I got a frantic phone call from a stranger and was at my sisters home again almost exactly as police were, I will never forget the flashing lights, the sounds, the smell of exhaust, the images in my head won't leave, This is such a long road, one that never ends for me or my family.I have lost loved ones, and it always hurts, i always feel their absence, however, none have touched me quite like losing my sister and her daughter.
My Sister was a loving Mother, a protective Mother, a best friend to me, even though she was my younger sister I looked up to her in so many ways, we were best friends and together all the time, its been 5 years and i only seem to get lonelier, but every day I wake up and i try to be a normal person, a happy person, and a good Mother and Aunt, and daughter. it is an ongoing battle that i feel i will fight forever.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
