Profile Information

About Me:
I am 67 years old, widow of 2 years (today is my husbands 2nd ann. of passing). I have a son, daughter and step-daughter, several granchildren and great grandchildren. I live in Vancouver, WA. I love the Washington Coast and have a 2nd home there. I love gardening, interior decorating, crafts, card making, working in my shop with tools, spending time with my family and fiends. I am a pretty good cook and am writing a family cookbook. I love movies of all kins, reading both hard copy and audio books. I am in good health and like to stay busy.
About my Loss:
I lost my husband of 37 years on April 9, 2011 and just lost my 87 year mom on March 5, 2013. Both were my best friends along with the role of husband and mother. I took care of both of them in their illnesses and am reeling with the loss of both of them. I have support from family and friends and I have my faith as well as a comfort. There are still such terrible times of emotions and feelings of loss and I tend to keep that inside alot so that know one will worry about how I am doing..The kids are dealing with their own loss and I don't want to over burden them...

She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
