- It's devastating to talk about this. My husband was a successful real estate developer. We had 4 children. My father owned television and radio stations and had set up irrevocable trusts for my children and myself. Not only did the lawyers steal everything, but the investment adviser stole my irrevocable trusts. It sounds like we are spoiled, but I never took any money from those trusts. Never asked for accountings or anything. The investment adviser stole millions from those trusts, Everything has been stolen. It's an unbelievable horror story and I just feel so depressed.
