About Me:
A 25 year old wife and mom of four (including my son who passed away).
About my Loss:
My name is Arkeyta Myles-Prentice, I am 25 years old and married with 4 children (one which include my son who passed away). During my pregnancy, I experienced several complications. During the last few weeks before I was told that my son had passed on, I started to develop symptoms of preaaclampsia. On May 28th, I went to the hospital complaining of severe abdominal pain, headaches, blurred vision, swelling in my legs and feet, upper abdominal pains, and dizziness but was told that I was fine and was sent home even though my blood pressure was elevated. On May 29, 2008, I went back to the hospital with the same problems which had gotten worse, and when I was put on the fetal monitor there was no sound, I was then given an ultrasound by the physician and was then told that my son had passed on. My son was delivered by C-section and I was diagnosed with severe preeaclampsia and was told that my placenta abrupted. Its has been 2 years and 6 months since my son has passed on and I still can believe that this has happened to me. I have not been able to sleep normally since that time. I cannot afford counseling and do not know where to turn. My heart aches everyday and it still feels as if it was just yesterday that I was told that my son passed away.

Grandma sewing room
