Profile Information

About Me:
I am 57 years old. I have (had) 3 sons and 3 grand children. I live in the midwest and am currently dealing with the loss of my first born son. I am currently married, and taking care of my elderly parents.
About my Loss:
My 39 year old son had been suffering from back pain and gastrointestinal problems for 6 months. after several visits to his PCP with no relief, a failed colonoscopy prep and two visits to the emergency room due to acute pain and not being able to eat he finally got the diagnosis of colon cancer on June 22, 2015.
The prognosis we were given was 3-5 years. But with all the advancements that were being made a cure was not out of the question.
After his first chemo treatment his health quickly deteriated and he passed away September 10, 2015.

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
