Profile Information

About Me:
I'm an almost 34 year old wife (8 1/2 years) and mom of 2 (a boy who is 7, a girl who is 5 1/2). I write on occasion for Associated Content from Yahoo but it's been less lately as I've had a lot to cope with. I'm a Christian--Southern Baptist and I'm typically pretty shy VERY shy in real life. I'm a three time cancer survivor with my first diagnosis at age 9. I have something rare called Cowden Syndrome. My children do as well.
About my Loss:
I lost the woman who pushed me through the darkest time in my life on Nov. 29, 2010--my mom. She made me go through chemo at age 15 or I wouldn't be here and now she's the one not here. She wanted to live more than I did or do--it's so completely unfair.
Are You a Service Provider? If Yes, please tell us about your service.
I'm not licensed to be a counselor but informally because I do have some education in psychology (4 year degree with some classes being honors optioned and the equivalent of grad classes) I understand the process of grieving probably better than the average person.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
