About Me:
I am a 39 year old artist and part time caregiver for a 93 year old man. I have three children (2 of whom are still living at home). I have always been a positive, loving and lovable type of person. I make my home with my true love and am so content with where life has led me. Until about a week ago, that is....

I lost my father (whom was my best friend, solid rock, confidant, strong hearted and the one I turned to for everything) less than a month ago, after he battled cancer for four months.

My problem with my grieving is the fact I turned into someone unfamiliar to myself at the time of his initial diagnosis. I was so angry at the world that he was sick.

During his decline and after his death, I was bitter towards my partner. I never realized it until we had a huge blow up last week and he asked me to leave. It's a two way street, I know, but I am accepting the fact I really was probably atrocious to deal with.

How do I make ammends? I am willing to do anything to make our relationship work. How do I grieve without overly affecting my family in a negative way?

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
