- About Me:
- I have trouble with dealing with death. I was scared for 20 years to wake up each day worrying that someone that I loved would die. I felt like there was a patten to this maddness of loseing people about every three years or so.
I have got grief counseling with all these deaths, but not with the first two. The death of my dad has cause the must damage to me. My mom refused to get me counseling, so I have not dealt with his death. It's been over 25 years. I still grieve for him a lot. After losing my father in law less then a week ago. I know that not only my husband need help for the death of his father, I need to really talk about my lost of my father. So here I am.
- About my Loss:
- I have experience multiple deaths of many very close family memebers in my life. I lost a dear aunt at the age of 9, my father at 13, grandma that help raise me at 17, my very dear uncle at 21, a grandma in law that treated my like her grandaughter at 26, a other uncle that help in raising me at 29. the other grandma in law at 32 and I just lost my father in law just less then a week ago. All of this people have shaped my life in one way or other.

My Fathers Loss

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
