- About my Loss:
- My mother was killed by a 14 year old boy who was 'learning' to illegally drive an SUV. She was 49, a brilliant doctor, fit and beautiful. She was just going for a routine evening walk. There is no justice in India where this happened. The case has still not begun, the trial takes 5-7 years and the max punishment is just 2 years of imprisonment. I am the only child. I moved to the US for a residency in Medicine and this happened just a month after I first came to the US. My mom was my best friend and she was more precious than life itself for me.
