Kim, I too know the pain you are feeling.  I lost my best friend, my soulmate, to cancer of the liver.  She passed away on March 27, and I still feel like it was yesterday.  I am so lost, I come home to an empty house.  We did everything together and now I feel totally alone.  She was my home, she gave me the security and safe feeling that no one has ever been able to do.  Some times I can't breathe, I feel like a large part of me died with her.

It's been over a week that I lost my father and though my crying spells have lessened just a little bit every time I wake up I have to remind myself that my dad is gone and it kills me. I miss him so much it hurts so bad. I know how you feel and it sucks so much. Even though all of us have to go through this eventually the pain gets so bad that you think you're the only one in the universe going through it.
