Hi I am not sure of what I am doing here so please bar with me. 6 weeks ago my sister,s only 2 boys were murdered, one would of been 38 last week and the youngest would be 26 next week. God it's hard to believe they are gone we were very close but I will live through this I think anyway it's my sister I don,t know how to help her I call her everyday most times I get the voice recorder and when I do talk to my sister all hours of the night she is drunk I will always take her call drunk or sober her and her husband won't get professional help I begged them. I have no problem with talking to my sister but I am scared that I am not saying the right thing I don't want to upset her it doesn't help that we live 800 miles apart, I offered to go back up and stay with her geez I,m getting into a book here. How can I help my sister get through this would appreciate any suggestions. I am so scared they are not going too make it. Bad day for me today

Everyone needs to handle their grief in their own way, even if it's the wrong way. If you could be there with them, try to point them in a different direction, that would be great, but since you can't, just keep up the calls, let them know you're there for them, and that they have your support.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
