Well said Andy. Expressing your faith in meaningful ways (helping others, praying, etc.) on a daily basis is most helpful. The key word here is action. Pray for the wisdom to make the right choices or for a sign that your loved ones are in good hands. Many mourners are convinced their prayers have been answered. I am not a chaplain, minister, or priest but I can tell you what others have demonstrated that I have worked with--a daily ritual of action to keep their faith alive, real, and meaningful. Along the way, keep talking to those you trust implicitly about how you are dealing with your losses and the emotions you are feeling. Talk, talk, talk. Don't keep it in. You may have to educate someone about this need and that there is nothing pathological about having to express your feelings for a long period of time. And don't be surprised if a friend or two who does not understand, abandons you. Regrettably, that happens because many people are unable to be around pain for any period of time. Best wishes.
