My husband got killed in a very tragic car accident on Feb. 2nd. I almost died in the accident as well...It feels like just yesterday this happened...It's been a month, I feel the same pain as I did the day he died. I want the pain to go away. I hate this...

I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. I know you've probably been told this before, but the pain does go away--It just takes time. Everyone is different, of course, but it took me about seven months to get through the worst of it. I was told when my wife died that it's important to allow yourself to grieve, and not try to short-circuit the process. You're in my thoughts...

Krystle,

I too am sorry for your loss.  I agree with Ellis, it does take time.  Being able to talk to others is very helpful, especially if you can see someone for grief counseling.

Krystal, the pain does not go away. Not for me. It gets stronger. The purpose of pain is to accept it as part of you and embrace it. Yet you've lost nothing but a flesh vessel. He is with u and in you. However, that longing for His physical presence you remember will keep you suffering.
