I had a mammogram done and they found a lump on my left breast and they think that it might be cancer. The day that I had my mammogram appointment I started to cry I keep saying why me I know that I can't handle this.I can handle the recent death of my mom and my nephew but this is the one thing that I can't handle is breast cancer. Lucky I have support from my husband and family and friends people have been coming up to me and telling me that they know what I'm going through but do they really know?

Im really sorry you are having this scare in your life right now.  And it is just a scare for now.  You do not know what the results will be.  My mom used to say, "No sense borrowing trouble.  There is enough given to you as it is."  As to, do people know what you are going through, unfortunately more people than you might think have been told something or other ""MIGHT"" be cancer.  That word alone strikes a cord of fear in everyone.  So I am hoping along with everyone that it turns out to be nothing more serious than a cyst and am sending a hug of understanding as you wait.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
