I lost my Dad June 12th
This is my first loss of someone close to me. I'm overwhelmed, was out of state for 2 weeks and have to start resuming my life today in a few hours. I don't feel ready. Maybe you never feel ready for a long time. Ours was a conflicted relationship. He wrote me a letter asking my forgiveness which I thought might free me from some of what I'm feeling. It was a perfect letter. I don't feel like I should drive, but I have to. Almost 3 weeks and it is still just too new. I'm here seeking support and will give that back freely. J

I am sorry for your loss. No words can explain or reason what you are feeling. Your emotions will take you all over the place, it is a complete state of confusion and nothing will get you back to normal. I will pray for you and just know it is a process and you will have to find your way via various avenues to keep you going. I am sorry if this is not sugar coated but its reality. I was close to my dad and he passed away March 4th and i still bounce back and forth with my emotions. I miss him dearly and try to figure how how to deal at times and at other times i am okay.
