This is the first time, since my dads death in March of 2012, that I have been on any type of site like this. My dad was 56 when he passed away from A liver disease. I came on this site because my best friend suggested that I look into it due to being one the hardest years I have had without him. I have cried more often over his passing than any other year and I'm really not sure why. There have been a lot of changes and decisions that I have made recently, so I suppose that could be part of why I have cried so often. There are times where I feel myself tearing up and i am unaware of why but I feel a sense that I am missing something and when I begin to think of him it brings me to even more tears. I'm here to see how this place can help bring some type of closer and healing to my heart. Thank you for letting me share!

Hi Kristi , I'm so sorry for the loss of your father .It's very hard losing the ones we love , it causes so many emotions and changes that can scare the heck out of us . Sometimes when you have a lot of stresses in your life and then you lose someone on top of it , it can complicate your grieving process. I always recommend seeing a counselor if you can but if you can't then there are so many online resources to help you as you go through the process. You can come on sites like this and let it all out as many times and as often as you feel the need to. Just know you are not alone and I hope you are able to find solace when you can.

Thank you very much Nancy :) all of your words are very encouraging and much appreciated :)

You are very welcome anytime !

My mom died 4 months ago

She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
