What would you do if you could have your lost loved one back for just five minutes?

Hi, I'm new to this site and would love to share my new project inspired by the loss of my mom 24 years ago - www.yourjustfiveminutes.com.

Just Five Minutes was created to help those dealing with grief reconnect to their lost loved one, either by dreaming the impossible, or by simply reading other peoples' words who may be experiencing a similar sense of loss as you.

It asks one question: 

'What would you do if... came back to you for just five minutes? Imagine a door in front of you opens, they walk through it, and then five minutes later they have to go back through the door and disappear forever.'

bluebird, that's the perfect answer and exactly what I'd want. I think about this all the time. I also think of how hard it would be to have him back for 5 minutes and then to have to lose him again if I wasn't able to follow him. For a little while I thought it would be strange to have him back and that was such an uncomfortable feeling. But I know we would go right back to where we left off. I did have him back twice, for about a minute each time and he just wrapped himself around me and I tried to tell him how much I loved him and missed him but I couldn't really make the words come out. I keep hoping he will visit me again like that...

Do you mean you had him back in a dream, or a visitation, or what do you mean? You're lucky, in any case.

Cry in her arms (my mom) and tell her how hard life has been without her and how i’d Do anything to have her back
