I try to find ways to help me cope with the loss of my Mum.  I do think being kind to yourself through this process is very important...and this saying has helped too:

Always have something to do...someone to love...and something to look forward to.

I completely agree with you.

It doesn't take the pain away, but when you follow that advice it gives you positive things to think about.

I once had a very close friend tell me this as well

"ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE, NO MATTER HOW MINUTE"

This advice has helped me considerably as I have struggled with loss.

Thank you so much Dennis...and your close friend is right...we do need to be as positive as we can at such a negative time of coming to terms with our loss.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
