My Dad, Henry, was diagnosed on July 1 with Stage 4 cancer. He died on 8.19.09. He hadn't been feeling well and Dr.'s diagnosed him with everything but Stage 4 Cancer. I am sad and angry. Maybe if................. I CAN''t believe he is gone. I was holding his hand when he died. How do I help my Mom? They were married 51 years, and she is a very healthy 70 year old.

Barb,
My condolences on the loss of your dad. Your mom may need you nearby or just want to be left alone at times. Follow her lead.
I have found this website to be very supportive and the members very caring. You can also join the "I love my Dad" group on this site; sometimes it helps to share with those having a common bond.
Take care of yourself and feel free to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
Sincerely,
Laura
