My friend Jay lost his wife 2 weeks after the birth of their daughter. They also have a 2 year old son. Ive never dealt with losing a loved one before, and I dont know how to help. I talk to him for hours every day, sometimes about his wife, sometimes not. Its only been 4 months. For those of you who have walked in Jay's shoes and can look back at that first year, how were you encouraged? Supported? Loved? Im desperately looking for answers. Ive read hundreds of websites and looked at books in the library. Most of them are for getting yourself through the grief. None of them can tell me what to do when you're holding up the grieving. Please help me help Jay.
