It will be a year the 29th of my husbands death. I have not dated. But I have become very close to our he lived with us and helped me through everything since my husband passed away. I don't think dating really has crossed my mind.

I was widowed at 32, and I started dating 3 months after my husband's death and I didn't mean to I wasn't out looking it just kind of happend. Of course everybody around me in our circle of friends and in his family said that was to soon for me to date. There never will be a right time or appropriate time to his family or friends. I'm just letting you know now before your are faced with that. You will know when you are ready and if you're thinking about it then you probably are ready. But it's up to you and only you to decide that! Dating has been great since then, it's very different because you are used to your spouse not someone else. When I started dating it felt like a new life had been breathed into me I felt like a teenager again and I know that sounds crazy but it's true. I absolutely loved and adored my husband. And I will always love and cherish every moment we had together. But he left me to soon and I wasn't willing to curl up and die alone at age 32.
I was 25 when my husband passed. He passed on April 6,2012. I officially started dating my current boyfriend on July 27th 2012 I started dating my current boyfriend. He lets me grieve, gives me space and is even going to support groups with me. I also lost a lot of friends, they thinking it was too soon. I don't live or miss him any less, I just needed to live also.
I lost my husband in 2011 ., I started going out right after ., I guess in a way I was looking to find someone

That was like him., I met a lot of people but no one even compare to who he has., I learn to stop comparing people to him ., I've dated n it feels good to get notice., to feel wanted .. U feel it ., u know when is time to date ., don't worry about people .theyre going to always talk whether u do good or bad ., make sure you're happy

Movies about grief that actually understand loss — any recommendations?

Hi everyone  I’m new here and honestly never thought I’d need a space like this, but here I am. I’ve been living with grief for a while now, and some days it’s quiet, some days it hits out of nowhere.Lately I’ve been watching movies about loss and grief - not to make myself sad on purpose, but to feel understood. Sometimes seeing grief on screen helps when it’s hard to explain what’s going on inside. The problem is that many “grief movie lists” online feel very surface-level or overly dramatic,…See More
